Welcome to the Modern Sound Scene, a space where music, art, and exploration of the modern world come together. I’m Luke, a 26-year-old freelance writer, artist, and musician with a passion for guitars and the world of music.

As a late bloomer in the music world, I owe a lot to my friends and infuences that brought me up from my sonic infancy. They ultimately helped me discover that playing (and writing…and thinking about…) music really is my passion. I’ve discovered the magic of connecting with others through the universal language of music, and this blog is my way of giving back to the community that has brought me joy.

Modern Sound Scene is her to navigate the ever-evolving music scene and bring you along for the ride. You’ll get a front-row seat to my thoughts on the rich history of music and completely subjective music album reviews, highlighting both well-known and underground artists that deserve your attention.

Through my blog, I aim to inspire fellow music enthusiasts and hopeless romantic headbangers to continue exploring the world of music. So, whether you’re a seasoned pro, an aspiring artist, or simply someone who loves listening to tunes, you’re in the right place.
